1) I would love to hire you as a speaker, but I am worried about the term “Smart Ass”
I get it – you think Avish would be a great speaker for your event, but you’re worried about recommending a “Motivational Smart Ass” or you don’t know how your boss would feel if you sent them a link to www.MotivationalSmartAss.com.

Don’t be.

Avish’s presentations are 100% professional and appropriate for any group. He can work you to “dial down the Smart Ass,” (or dial it up if you prefer!)

2) How do I convince others that you are the right speaker for your group?

So you know Avish would do a great speech for your next event, and Avish knows it too. Now, how do you convince your committee, boss, or board of that? Here are some tips:

  1. Get them to watch the video! I can not stress this enough – Avish’s blend of humor, practical tips, and improvisation are hard to explain. If they don’t watch any of the demo videos, there’s almost no way they’ll get it
  2. Start with value. What’s most important to your decision making group? If they want a high energy funny opening, start by explaining how Avish can do that. If they want the audience to leave with applicable techniques, explain how Avish uses interaction to give the audience hands-on tools they can use right away. If they want a CEO, go somewhere else!
  3. Set up a call with Avish. Probably your best bet. Let’s set up a short phone call with you, Avish, and everyone on your committee. They can ask any questions they have and Avish can clearly explain both the value and experience of using him as a speaker.

3) What exactly is a “Motivational Smart Ass?”

Good question.

There are two parts two it:

  1.  “Motivational” – Avish, (the head SmartAss) started out as a motivational speaker. The posts and content on this site, as well as Avish’s presentations, are designed to share lessons, big and small, that can help you with your personal and professional life. If you pay attention, they just may get you “motivated” to be more effective, have more fun, stress less, and be more successful.
  2. “Smart Ass” – Rather than delivering straight lessons like so many blogs and so many speakers do, the Motivational Smart Ass wraps his lessons in humor. And not just straight corny punny humor (blech!). Avish has a bit of an edge, a bit of sarcasm, and bit of ranting in his humor. He likes to make fun of stuff. That stuff may be himself, his friends, pop culture, stupid business behavior, or just random things he sees in every day life. But make fun of it he will. (Note: the one thing he does not make fun of is your audience during the presentation)
